Contest Winner

So, I had big plans to do a video contest winner reveal but when it came down to it, ahh, not so much. Way more trouble than I had time for. So, I found a random number generator online thanks to Amber. I put in 1-8 and told it to pick the winner. All entries were numbered in the order they were received. And the winner is....drumroll.... #8 Allison Hays.

Just for fun

Rachael and I went out to practice a bit today with her new camera and Austin agreed to model for us. It only cost me a new Thomas the Train so that was pretty fair. I snapped just a few while we were there. This kid is such a ham!

It's 10:30 on Saturday night...

I'm 27 years old. I should be doing something other than sitting here in jammies with a warm Diet Sprite editing but I digress. This little guy is making me smile and helping pass the time. He's too cute to pass up posting another picture. I've always been a sucker for a horizontal close cropped image but this little faux-hawk was just too much. I just couldn't crop it out. If a come across anything else I don't think you can live without seeing, I'll be back. I hope you're having a great weekend.

2 Handsome Little Fellas from today

This is Jacob and Hudson. I've taken their pictures quite a few times in their short 12 months. The first time, it was great. The second time, they weren't really feeling it so much. Today, perfection! I am so glad I captures so many cute images of these two sweeties. Can't wait for ya'll to see the entire galleries. Thanks for coming out and bearing the heat and humidity today.

I met THE coolest kid today!

A girl after my own heart. She might look like a prim diva princess. Well, there are no baby dolls and barbies for this chick. She'll take a GI Joe over Barbie any day. She's also a dirt bike rider practicing to compete with the big boys. I'm serious! We'll see her on TV one day. Look out Travis Pastrana. And, your still my favorite even if a little bug scares the buh-jeezus out of you.

Her little bro was rockin' a pretty sweet faux hawk today too. It was my pleasure meeting you guys today!

Kristy Evans Photography is growing

I recently asked for a few seniors to work with me as I experimented with senior portrait work. Thanks to Amber, I got all I wanted and more. I pull up to meet them. I'm a little apprehensive about working with teens. Will they think that Screech is more humorous than I? Will they be fuddy-duddies and make for a boring session? Heck no! Haley and Ashley came today with an SUV full of clothes, shoes and jewelry. They did their research too. I think I saw a few America's Next Top Model poses going on. I had a blast today. This type work is totally new to me but I'm loving it. I hope that more and more seniors come my way! I love working with toddlers and babies, but today was nothing short of awesome from a photographers stand point. Ladies, you are both beautiful and so much fun. It was my pleasure working with you today. I hope you enjoy this little preview.

I'm impressed!

I have already reached over 500 hits to the blog! I didn't realize they would add up so fast. Ok, so I'm holding up my end of the bargain. I'm doing a contest! The first person who can email me how to fit 30 hours of work in a 24 hour day wins free photos for life. Just teasing! But if you ever figure that out, please, do tell. Really though... I am going to do a new contest. I want everyone to leave a comment to this thread. Maybe just your name, how you found me, why you love me, any questions you might have for me, just whatever. On Friday, I am going to put all the names of people that left me a comment in a basket and draw the winner. I'm hoping that I can figure out my video camera and post a video so you can watch to see who won. We'll see if I can actually make that happen. So, whats the prize? A mounted 11x14 image from your next session-- a $75.00 value! Not valid on reorders and party orders.

The Urban Session

How excited was I when a client asked to move a Botanical Gardens session downtown for the Urban expirience? I was beyond excited! Today I got to meet Kylee for her afternoon session. When mom pulled out her outfits,I knew I was in Heaven! I just love the look of these sessions. She will soon be a big sister too. It seems like almost all my clients are expecting. I hope that means new babies in studio too! I hope you enjoy your sneak peak and look for the entire gallery a bit sooner than I told you!

Timeless

I met Sara about a year ago. She is just one of those kids that have such a natural beauty. Here is her picture from last year--

Well, fast forward a year and she's still as beautiful as ever and a big sister to sweet litle Ava. Here they are together from their session last week.

A is for Addi

I had the pleasure of meeting this little lady last week at the Botanical Gardens. I am going to have to ask my mom for a picture of me when I was this age. I swear Addi looks almost identical to me at that age.

I hope I don't catch a fever!

Baby fever that is. My goodness this little doll will make me doubt not having more children. I spent 4 hours with them in her fab nursery today bending and folding and rebending and refolding her today. She's almost 3 weeks old so she was not really up for being balled up again but we just kept trying. Thanks for welcoming me into your home guys. I'm so glad we get to work together for at least the next year.
